Shipping, Customs and Import Duties Policy

Effective date: August 14, 2026 Store: PARTSMOTORS (partsmotors.com) Customer support: info@partsmotors.com

1. Order processing and sourcing time

PARTSMOTORS ships automotive parts from the Republic of Korea. Many catalog items are sourced after the order is received. Processing therefore consists of separate stages: payment review, supply verification, procurement, inbound receipt, inspection, consolidation, packing, freight finalization, export preparation, and carrier transit.

Any processing or delivery date shown on the Site is an estimate unless PARTSMOTORS expressly confirms a firm date in writing. Supplier delay, discontinued parts, quantity changes, customs review, weather, remote-area service, security review, and carrier disruption can extend the estimate.

2. Shipping charge or shipping deposit

For items whose packed weight, volumetric weight, dimensions, dangerous-goods status, or special packing requirements are not yet known, the shipping amount collected at checkout may be a shipping deposit rather than the final international freight charge.

After the order is sourced and packed, we may calculate the final charge using the actual shipment weight, volumetric weight, dimensions, box count, destination, remote-area status, carrier service, insurance, and required packing. We may:

  • request payment of an additional freight balance before shipment;
  • refund an excess shipping deposit; or
  • offer a revised consolidation or carrier option.

We may hold shipment until any approved additional freight, packing, documentation, or remote-area charge is paid. If the customer declines a required additional charge after procurement is committed, the cancellation and refund rules in our Return, Refund and Cancellation Policy apply.

3. Carriers and delivery estimates

We may use FedEx, DHL, UPS, EMS, Korea Post, freight forwarders, or another suitable carrier. Carrier selection may change based on destination, part type, dimensions, restrictions, service availability, and cost. A tracking number is provided when available.

Carrier transit estimates begin after carrier acceptance. They do not include sourcing, procurement, inbound receipt, inspection, packing, export documentation, customs clearance, or delivery appointments.

4. Importer of record; customs, taxes and duties

Unless a written quotation or order confirmation expressly states that PARTSMOTORS is providing DDP service, the customer or consignee is the importer of record and is responsible for:

  • import clearance and all required registrations, permits, licenses, and product compliance;
  • customs duties, import VAT/GST, sales or use taxes, excise taxes, environmental fees, and other government charges;
  • carrier advancement fees, brokerage, disbursement, handling, storage, demurrage, inspection, and last-mile charges; and
  • providing accurate consignee, tax, identity, customs, and contact information requested by the carrier or authorities.

The product price and standard shipping charge do not include destination-country duties or taxes unless we expressly state otherwise in writing. PARTSMOTORS does not control or guarantee the amount assessed by the destination country.

For B2B, pallet, LCL, or container transactions, the Incoterms 2020 rule and named place stated in the accepted quotation or pro forma invoice control. If no DDP term is expressly stated, do not assume that PARTSMOTORS will pay import duties or act as importer of record.

5. Customs or carrier refusal

If the customer fails to pay import charges, provide required information, obtain a permit, accept delivery, or collect the shipment, the shipment may be delayed, returned, abandoned, seized, or destroyed. These events are not PARTSMOTORS cancellations.

The customer is responsible for all resulting outbound freight, return freight, duties, taxes, brokerage, storage, penalties, disposal, and other charges. Any refund is considered only after the returned goods are received and inspected and may be reduced by those amounts and by any loss in value. No refund is available for goods abandoned, seized, or destroyed due to the customer's failure, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

6. Address and contact information

The customer must provide a complete deliverable address, recipient name, email, and telephone number in the format required by the destination country and carrier. Contact us immediately if information is incorrect. We cannot guarantee an address change after procurement, packing, label creation, or carrier handoff.

The customer bears costs caused by an incorrect or incomplete address, unavailable recipient, refused delivery, or unreported address change, except where the error was made by PARTSMOTORS.

7. Oversized, fragile, and restricted items

Glass, body panels, bumpers, engines, transmissions, batteries, liquids, airbags, pyrotechnic devices, and other oversized, fragile, hazardous, or restricted parts may require wooden packing, a pallet, dangerous-goods documentation, a freight service, or a destination restriction. Additional charges and a revised delivery method may apply. We may cancel and refund an item that cannot lawfully or reasonably be shipped to the destination.

8. Damage, shortage, loss, and confirmed delivery

Inspect the shipment promptly. Preserve the carton, labels, internal packaging, and part. Report visible damage, shortage, or the wrong item to info@partsmotors.com within 7 calendar days after delivery, with the order number and clear photos. Carrier deadlines may be shorter, so immediate notice is recommended.

For a lost or damaged shipment, PARTSMOTORS may require the customer's cooperation with a carrier investigation and may offer a replacement, refund, or other resolution after the claim is evaluated. A shipment marked delivered by the carrier is not automatically refundable; we will review delivery evidence and the carrier investigation.

9. Split and partial shipments

We may propose split or partial shipment when items become available at different times. Additional freight may apply. We will obtain the customer's approval when the proposed split materially changes the agreed price or supply. We may hold available items for consolidation, subject to storage and supplier constraints.

10. Mandatory rights

Nothing in this Policy limits liability or customer rights that cannot be limited under applicable law. The accepted transaction document controls any specifically agreed delivery term, but mandatory law continues to apply.

United States market version. Mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived remain applicable.
