Refund policy

Return, Refund and Cancellation Policy

Effective date: August 14, 2026 Store: PARTSMOTORS (partsmotors.com) Customer support: info@partsmotors.com

This Policy applies to retail orders placed through PARTSMOTORS. A quotation, pro forma invoice, purchase order, wholesale agreement, or other written B2B contract may contain different terms. If it does, the signed or expressly accepted transaction document controls for that transaction.

1. Sourced-to-order automotive parts

PARTSMOTORS offers a large catalog of Korean automotive parts. We do not keep every listed item in our own warehouse. Many parts are checked and sourced after an order is received through manufacturers, authorized channels, dealers, distributors, and other supply partners in Korea.

A payment authorization or order confirmation means that we received the order. It does not by itself guarantee stock, quantity, fitment, supplier acceptance, exportability, lead time, or final acceptance of every order line.

2. Customer cancellation requests

You may request cancellation within 24 hours after placing your order, but cancellation is available only while procurement has not been committed. The earlier of the following is the cancellation cutoff:

  1. 24 hours after the order was placed; or
  2. the time PARTSMOTORS commits to procurement for any affected part.

“Procurement committed” includes placing or confirming a non-cancellable supplier order, purchasing or reserving stock, arranging a supplier transfer, beginning special preparation or packaging, or otherwise incurring a non-recoverable sourcing cost for your order.

A cancellation request is not effective until PARTSMOTORS confirms the cancellation in writing. Sending an email or payment dispute does not by itself cancel an order. If procurement has already been committed, the order is generally non-cancellable and non-refundable, except where this Policy or mandatory law requires otherwise.

3. PARTSMOTORS cancellation or supply adjustment

We may cancel and refund an order or an affected order line if, after checking the Korean supply network, we determine that the part is unavailable, discontinued, subject to an unacceptable supplier change, incorrectly priced, restricted from export, not reasonably obtainable, or otherwise cannot be supplied on the stated basis.

If only part of an order can be supplied, we may offer one or more of the following:

  • shipment of the available items and a refund for unavailable items;
  • an alternative or superseding part for your approval;
  • a revised price, quantity, or lead time for your approval; or
  • cancellation of the affected lines or the entire order.

We will not substitute a materially different part or force a partial supply without your approval. If we cancel for non-supply, we will refund the amount collected for the cancelled item and any shipping amount allocated only to that item, subject to any lawful adjustment disclosed and accepted for the remaining shipment.

4. Return authorization required

Do not send a part back without written return authorization. Contact info@partsmotors.com with your order number, part number, reason, photos, packaging photos, and any requested vehicle or installation information.

Unless a longer mandatory period applies, a return request must reach us no later than 7 calendar days after the item is delivered. This seven-day period is a request deadline, not an automatic right to return. You must notify us:

  • within 7 calendar days after delivery for a wrong item, visible damage, shipping damage, shortage, or suspected defect; and
  • before installation, use, modification, painting, programming, or disposal of the packaging.

If a return is approved, we will issue return instructions and a Return Merchandise Authorization (“RMA”). The approved item must be handed to the return carrier within 14 calendar days after the RMA date unless we state another deadline. Returns sent to an unauthorized address, sent cash-on-delivery, or sent without an RMA may be refused.

5. PARTSMOTORS error, transit damage, or verified defect

If we shipped a different part from the part stated in the accepted order, or if the item is confirmed damaged in transit or defective under an applicable warranty, we will determine an appropriate remedy after reviewing the evidence. Depending on the case and applicable law, the remedy may be replacement, repair support, a carrier claim, partial refund, or refund of the affected item.

Where the error is ours, PARTSMOTORS will bear reasonable approved return shipping costs. You must follow our carrier and return instructions. We are not responsible for unapproved premium shipping, dismantling, installation, diagnostics, vehicle downtime, storage, towing, lost profit, or other consequential costs, except to the extent such exclusion is prohibited by law.

6. Customer-selected part, fitment error, or change of mind

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate part number, VIN/chassis number, vehicle market, model year, engine, trim, side/position, and other requested qualifiers. A visual similarity or model name alone does not establish fitment.

If PARTSMOTORS approves a return that is not caused by our error, including a customer-selected wrong part or change of mind, the customer must arrange and pay the full cost of returning the item to the address and by the method stated in the RMA. The customer is responsible for all related costs, including:

  • original outbound shipping and insurance;
  • return shipping and insurance;
  • import and export duties, taxes, brokerage, customs, storage, and carrier charges;
  • bank, payment, currency-conversion, and non-refundable transaction costs where permitted by law;
  • repacking, inspection, and loss in value; and
  • a restocking fee of up to 15% of the item price where disclosed in the RMA and permitted by law.

The original outbound shipping charge is non-refundable because it has already been paid to FedEx, DHL, EMS, UPS, or another carrier for the completed outbound service. PARTSMOTORS does not provide a prepaid return label for a customer-responsibility return. The customer must pay the return carrier directly and ensure that the shipment reaches PARTSMOTORS with tracking, adequate insurance, and customs charges prepaid.

After the returned item is received, authenticated, and accepted in unused and resaleable condition, the maximum refund basis is the price paid for the returned part only. Original outbound shipping, return shipping, insurance, duties, taxes, brokerage, customs, storage, carrier charges, and other non-refundable transaction costs are not refunded. A restocking fee of up to 15% of the returned part price and any permitted loss-in-value or inspection deductions may then be subtracted from that part-price refund. No shipping amount will be refunded for a customer-responsibility return.

We do not reimburse labor, installation, removal, programming, diagnostics, vehicle downtime, or other indirect costs for a customer-selection error.

If PARTSMOTORS made a specific written fitment confirmation based on complete and accurate vehicle information and that confirmation was wrong, the matter will be treated as a PARTSMOTORS error rather than a customer-selection error.

7. Items normally not returnable

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the following items are not returnable unless PARTSMOTORS sent the wrong item or the item has a verified covered defect:

  • sourced-to-order, special-order, discontinued, obsolete, rare, or supplier non-returnable parts;
  • installed, used, tested, programmed, coded, modified, painted, cut, damaged, contaminated, or incomplete parts;
  • electrical, electronic, control, sensor, module, wiring, ignition, and security-related parts after packaging or seals are opened;
  • glass, body panels, trim, airbags, pyrotechnic or safety-restraint items, hazardous materials, liquids, batteries, and oversized or specially packed items;
  • parts without original labels, seals, packaging, accessories, documentation, or serial-number identification;
  • clearance, final-sale, custom, bulk, pallet, container, or B2B procurement items; and
  • gift cards or store credit, except as required by law.

8. Inspection and refund processing

Approval to ship a return does not guarantee a refund. We inspect the returned item, packaging, labels, serial numbers, condition, and reason for return. If the return is approved after inspection, the refund is normally issued to the original payment method. Processing by the payment provider or bank can take additional time.

We may reduce or refuse a refund if the item is used, incomplete, damaged, sent late, sent without authorization, materially different from the approved return, or loses value while in the customer's possession, subject to applicable law.

9. Customs refusal and undeliverable shipments

Refusing delivery, failing to provide import documents, failing to pay duties or taxes, or failing to collect a shipment is not an approved cancellation. If the shipment is returned to us, any refund is considered only after we receive and inspect it. We may deduct outbound and return freight, duties, taxes, brokerage, storage, penalties, disposal costs, payment costs, and loss in value. If the carrier or customs authority abandons or destroys the shipment, no refund will be due unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

10. Mandatory rights

Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts, or replaces a consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived in the customer's jurisdiction. Where mandatory law grants a longer cancellation or remedy period, that law applies. For sourced-to-order or specially procured items, any lawful cancellation restriction applies only when the required notice, consent, and other legal conditions have been satisfied.

11. Contact

Email cancellation, return, damage, shortage, and defect requests to info@partsmotors.com. Include the order number in the subject line. Our written case decision and RMA instructions control the return process.

United States market notice: This policy applies together with all non-waivable federal, state, and local consumer rights. Nothing in this Policy limits a right that cannot lawfully be waived.
